It's broken. My monitor's refresh rate is over 60 and the game MUST run at 60fps.

Besides that the idea of a racing game switching context is exciting and the transitions are good in Grid Gunner. The handling isn't bad but it's very slippery so it feels like drifting everywhere. I wish they took it further and incorporated even more game types. Where's the FPS switch!?

It's very difficult to get into the game though since it's not a traditional race. It's only about finishing so one slip up and slide off the edge and it's game over. You have to restart. That's too much when the game is rough. You can hit a jump, land on a wall, and then have to restart. It's terrible and frustrating. A more traditional race (time trial) would have been a lot better. I also don't understand why the game makes you collect time if you can fall to your death anyway.

Time to get into those Gunners and take on and overcome the challenges of the four zones.

Hello everyone.

Just a quick update on some bug fixes.

Fix:
Game would not scale properly to full screen on screen resolutions higher than 1080p

Fix:
Game was running too fast on monitors with high refresh rates. The game should now run at the correct speed on any refresh rate.
Thank you to Peppage for pointing that out.
This fix will also ensure the ship does not move too fast in the shooter sections.

Change:
I also felt that the steering became way too twitchy on high refresh rate monitors so in the pause menu I have added a steering option - Light and Heavy.
If you find the steering too twitchy just change it to heavy in the options menu or change it to light if steering is feeling too slow/heavy.
Light mode should be fine for 60hz monitors and Heavy mode for 144hz etc.

If you find any other issues please let me know.

Grid Gunner is almost here and I am looking forward to letting it out in the wild and building a community for the game.
This game is a solo Indie project and I hope it will resonate with many players and that you will get plenty of enjoyment from it and also be challenged by what lies ahead.

I will be here to listen and engage with you all and take all criticism, good an bad as valuable information to learn from so please do talk and share your thoughts as it is important to me.
